Digital Manga & Comics

 

Comics involve many compositions that are used to visually tell a story. You may already know some of these compositions, like close-ups or wide shots. In the Comic Composition course, we introduce students to commonly used angles in comics, using different perspective techniques for reference.

Curriculum

There are important factors in making cartoons. Accurate drawing skills, natural storytelling, detailed expression of characters and more. But most importantly, how to effectively express and convey all these elements visually on paper. In order to express more effectively and interestingly, above all, you need understanding and the ability to create the visual composition and composition of each panel. In this course, you will learn and practice camera composition, dynamic perspective, and various methods of using panels to compose cartoon scenes for eight weeks.
