The Portrait course reviews essential skills for portrait painting in Photoshop, including proportion, facial features, and value. Traditional painting techniques will be applied onto a digital format.

Curriculum

The portrait course introduces the basics of portrait painting, starting with proportions of the human face. From there, students will study facial features (e.g. eyes, lips, and nose), lighting compositions, and different skin tones. Towards the end of the course, students will begin doing master studies, which will culminate to a final self-portrait or portrait painting.
